“What do you think of this pair?” Missy held up pair of cheeky, pink lace panties across the display from me.

I shrugged as I picked through the pieces of lingerie. “They’re cute, do you think Bam will like them, cause he’s the only one that’s going to see them besides you?”

She just laughed at me and set them in her little basket. The lingerie store my cousin and I were currently visiting was definitely higher end. It had three floors and if I hadn’t made a killing at my graduation party there would be no way in hell I would shop here. Missy had convinced me to come simply by playing on my need for pretty things; Chris had stopped me from getting anything last week.

I woke to the sound of an engine and guitar strumming. It was an odd yet comforting combination. Having those sounds in the background assured me I was on the HIM tour bus and not Bam’s for the day.

The sky was a beautiful shade of dark blue and pink as twilight began to creep over the area. I stood in front of Castle Bam with Ashlee and Megan, near Megan’s blue truck. We had been talking for the last twenty minutes as last minute items had been loaded for the tour.

“I’ll miss you guys so much!” I grabbed Ashlee and Megan and pulled them into a huge hug.

The sound of the steel bars being drawn back brought us out of the daze that had swept through the group. Looking over to the door I saw Olivia standing in front of Missy by a guard. Her face was hard to read as her brows were drawn together and a weak smile was on the bow of her lips.

“Come on, these ladies have paid your bail.” The guard came over and opened our cell. We filed out after being handed our things.

JUNE 16th, 2009 WEST CHESTER, PENNSYLVANIA : 2:01 PM

“I think this will have to be the last stop for the day.” I set the bags that hung from my arms on back seat of the car. We had been making trips from shops and back to the Hummer all day to limit the baggage.

The group of us had been in downtown West Chester for a few hours doing what girls do best, wasting Bam’s money. I know I had obtained quite a sum of cash in the last week, but Missy had insisted on using his card for all purchases. The bags in the car were filled with things such as a new pair of boots, a coat, new purse, miscellaneous hair accessories, and as many preservative filled treats as I could get my hands on.

Chapter 13 - Fear For The Best

“I have no idea how you guys convinced me to do this.” I grumbled as I shifted around on the uncomfortable lounge chair.

It was incredibly sunny today, and Bam, not being one to waste perfectly good weather, had gotten everyone outside and around the pool. Not only had he gotten everyone by the pool, he had insisted that everyone be outfitted for such a task. After some complaints, everyone had complied. Well, some people more than complained, I for one hated to be out in the sun. There were too many things about it that I disliked: one, I spent so much time inside reading that when I was faced with extreme amounts of light my eyes all but burned. Everyone around me would be forced to look at what would seem to be a scowling face all day, when I really just can’t help squinting in the sun. Of course, with the large sunglasses Bam had shoved on my face all anyone would see were my scrunched up eyebrows.

JUNE 13th, 2009 The Note, WEST CHESTER, PA : 6:18 PM

The crowd may have been small, but it still took up most of the space in the bar. When Bam had said small crowd his idea had been fewer than two hundred. All of the people in attendance were either friends of Bam, friends of friends of Bam, or friends of the band itself. It was always easy to forget how well word of mouth could work for some things; this concert being the perfect example.

I had been left on my own soon after arriving at The Note about an hour ago. That was okay, everyone had to take care of their own things, like saying hi to the people they had personally invited or help to make sure all of the technical elements ran smoothly. I knew that HIM was performing after The Moxy as warm up for the tour, something about playing in front of crowds to loosen up.
